I said last week that I might do a vlog for this game and so here it is. I am going to tell you what other people won't or can't say, our tight ends are killing us in the running game. That is a personel problem, and a coaching problem. Check out the video and let me know what you think...
Great stuff as usual. One can only hope our coaches are as aware of the situation as you are. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHey Steve, I really enjoyed the Vlog. It is a little more personal than the Blog, but I like to read them too. Good job making it all the way through the Vlog clearly. I would have tripped on my tongue at least 5 times in the first 20 seconds. I like Demar "Basketball Jones" Dotson. Every time they put him in the Bucs make positive gains. As a former Bball player, I bet Dotson can catch well too. A 6-9 TE could be a real asset other than just blocking. Great stuff man.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larryed and BigMacAttack. I will try to work on the lighting for the next one.
ReplyDeleteReally good stuff Steve. I like the vlog and I'm so appreciative of your insights as a Bucs fan with more questions than answers this season.
ReplyDeleteI hope you keep these up!
Its a shame guys like you aren't on TV discussing football instead of the morons they put on ESPN...
ReplyDeleteBut then again, most of the stuff you talk about goes over most people's heads...
Just saw an interesting tweet from SPTimes Stroud:
ReplyDeleteThe Bucs will begin using OT Demar Dotson as a TE in some run situations with the injury to TE John Gilmore.
Interesting. We need to get a TE who can block. Also, how much is the absence of Clayton and his blocking hurting the run game?
ReplyDeleteSteve,
ReplyDeleteTremendous analysis. Thank you. It looks like Olie's watching your vlogs. I think that's a good thing.
Please, keep this up Steve. I'm learning a great deal about the game from you.
Thanks again.
Using a darker background will help the lighting problem. The camera adjusts its iris based on the overall image. If you have a light colored background, you're going to look darker than you want. Also, move yourself away from the background, if possible. That will get rid of the shadow behind you. If you don't have any kind of studio light, you can use daylight coming into a window.
